Newbridge Advised Lambeth Council on New Housing Vehicle
January 22, 2018On 22 January 2018, the Cabinet of the London Borough of Lambeth approved the Business Plan for its wholly owned subsidiary ‘Homes for Lambeth’. This marks a significant gateway for Homes for Lambeth to deliver ambitious housing plans. Newbridge advised Lambeth Council on establishing Homes for Lambeth, taking it from the initial concept through to incorporation and mobilisation. Homes for Lambeth will start managing new affordable homes from summer 2018 and expects to deliver 500 new build homes over the next five years on estate regeneration sites in Lambeth.
Homes for Lambeth represents a new way for Local Authorities to deliver genuinely affordable homes and retain oversight over development and management. Newbridge worked closely with the Regeneration and Finance teams at Lambeth Council to bring the plans for the vehicle to reality.
